Night Hawks Win Thriller at BPC

Watkins scores game-winner with 2.4 left

Box Score In a game that was tied in the beginning, at the half, and nearly at the end, the Night Hawks put the game in the hands of senior Justyn Watkins. The senior delivered in spectacular fashion, driving for the winning basket with just seconds left to secure a 65-64 victory over Brewton Parker in Mt. Vernon, GA.

Tied at 63-63, BPC made the second free throw with 7.5 seconds left to take a 1-point lead. Watkins drove coast-to-coast on the inbounds pass and scored with 2.4 seconds left, giving the Night Hawks the lead. Following a timeout, the Barons turned the ball over to seal the win.

Watkins finished the night with a game-high 27 points, Max Grace added 11, with Trey Gosier tallying 10 in his debut.

The team is back in action at home on Saturday, November 9 at 5:30pm, when they take on Bob Jones University.
