TU Basketball (6-2) held off Columbia International University (3-5), 78-71, on Monday afternoon in Columbia, SC.
The teams battled throughout the first half with TU taking a two point, 36-34, advantage into the locker room. Thomas started to see momentum swing their way midway thru the second with the help of freshman guard
Trent Madison who knocked down a huge bucket, allowing TU to stay in control of the game. The Night Hawks shot 51 percent from the floor.
Thomas was led by senior forward
Justyn Watkins who had a game and team high 28 points. Watkins who also contributed 7 rebounds on the boards. Junior guard
Max Grace added 20 points shooting 100 percent from behind the arc.
Trey Gosier a freshman guard scored 11 points with 4 assist to round out the double digit scoring for the Night Hawks.
Men's basketball will travel to Brunswick, Ga. Saturday November 30
th to face College of Coastal Georgia in a double header with the Girls. The guys tip off time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
