Brewton Parker College (2-3) handed Thomas Men's Basketball (3-1) their first loss of the season on Tuesday evening at the TU Gymnasium.

TU got off to a good start and led by 3 ten minutes in the game. The Barons would go on to open up a 13 point lead midway thru the first half, breaking open a game that seemed destined for yet another back and forth affair, in the same manner that the teams battled a week ago in Mt. Vernon, Ga. when the Night Hawks knocked off BPC at the buzzer. BPC would extend their lead to 20 in the second and TU could not put together enough stops to slow down the Barons, with BPC securing a 74-56 victory. Senior forward Justyn Watkins (17) and Junior guard Max Grace (10) were the only Night Hawks in double digits.

Thomas will next face Truett-McConnell College on Friday at 7:30PM, in game two of the TU Classic presented by Jamil Robertson – State Farm Agency. Game one of The Classic will feature #3 Embry-Riddle and Point University at 5:30PM.
