Thomas University Athletics

Veterans Memorial Stadium has been a landmark of Thomasville athletics since opening in November 1948. The historic venue became the home of Thomas University football in 2023 and has hosted numerous memorable moments throughout its history, including state championship teams from Douglas High School in 1959 and 1967.

Today, Veterans Memorial Stadium seats approximately 5,000 spectators and features a 79,738-square-foot AstroTurf ShockPad Series playing surface installed in 2017 by Sports Turf Company with a sand/rubber infill system. The facility also includes press boxes on both the home and visitor sides, supporting game operations, coaches, media, and event management. Blending modern amenities with more than 75 years of South Georgia football tradition, Veterans Memorial Stadium provides a first-class game-day atmosphere for Night Hawks football.
