Veterans Memorial Stadium
The military transition football team, comprised of veterans, national guard, and reserves, will play its four home games at the stadium, located at 701 E. Jackson St. in Thomasville. Thomas University will play the stadium that Thomasville High School plays their home games at.
In November 1948, Veterans Memorial Stadium opened next to what is now MacIntyre Park Middle School, originally the site of the high school until the current campus opened in 1974. Thomasville High School's first game at the 'new' place was November 25, 1948 against a heavily favored Albany team. Thomasville upset the Indians on that day, for the right to face the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane for the South Georgia Championship.
Douglass High School won state championships there in 1959 and 1967 before its students integrated.
