Armory Field renovation update

 Latest Photos

THOMASVILLE, Ga. - Work continues to move forward on the renovation of Armory Field, Thomas' home softball venue.

Seven plastic fence covers in the university's trademark Pantone 349 green don the chainlink guardrail that stretches from dugout to dugout and separates the pathway in front of the bleachers from the overhead netting.

Signature One Inch Essential Aluminum Blinds cover the window to the new pressbox.

Two white, aluminum garage doors, one at each dugout and each measuring six and a half feet high by five feet wide, have been installed.

Four black gates have been raised to meet the level of the paved pathways and the infield dirt.

A total of 128 bricks, with 32 in each of four spaces, two in each walkway between the 27-foot long bleacher and each 21-foot long bleacher, have been laid for a future alumni brick paver program.

The full painting of six dugout benches and erection of two foul poles are expected to continue through the month of January.

The renovation to Armory Field began May 15, 2017. Work is expected to be completed on Armory Field's enhancements prior to first pitch of the alumni game on Jan. 20 at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Thomas used Remington Park for fall practices, which concluded in early November.

TUNightHawks.com will update fans on the renovation of the complex approximately every three weeks leading up to Jan. 20.
