Box Score Thomas University continued an impressive first year in The Sun Conference, pounding #20 Embry Riddle 96-77 in the quarterfinals of TSC tournament. The NIght Hawks will now advance to play #11 St. Thomas in Miami Gardens on Monday, March 3.

ERAU would jump out to a 6-4 lead, but TU would tie the game on two Dionte Aagard free throws, and then take the lead on a Trey Gosier three pointer. Thomas would lead 39-34 at the half on the strength of Gosier's 4-4 shooting from behind the arc.
The Eagles closed the gap to three (46-43) with 18 minutes left, but Thomas would go on a 24-12 run to stretch the lead to as many as 19 with 4 minutes left. TU would lead by as few as 16 in the closing minutes before the final horn.
The scoring was spread throughout as Justyn Watkins notched 21, with Gosier adding 19 (5-5 3pt), and Max Grace and Adonai Rogers scoring 17 each. Rodney Sturkie tallied 14 as well.
Game time for Monday's semifinal has yet to be determined.
