Box Score Thomas University's Men's Soccer (13-2-3) (TSC 7-2-1) move forward to the Sun Conference Semi-Final match as they shut-out the Southeastern University Fire in a 3-0 victory.
The Night Hawks opened the game, scoring an early goal just four and a half minutes in off the boot of Senior
Diego Hurtado (1G, 1A) leading the SEU Fire 1-0. The next forty-one and a half minutes of the first half would remain scoreless for both TU and the Fire.
Sophomore
Eric Persson (1G) came out of the locker room ready to claim the "W" as he drilled home a goal of his own from an assist by Sophomore
Severin Abt (1A), giving the Night Hawks a 2-0 lead. The Night Hawks proceeded to run away with the game as Junior
Patrick Ramdial (1G) netted another TU goal during the 84
th minute from an assist by Hurtado.
"We want to congratulate Southeastern on their season. They are a good, competitive team," said TU Head Men's Soccer Coach,
Ricky Zambrano. "This is what we've been working so hard for all season long and we look to stay disciplined, keep working, and keep pursuing through the postseason. We match up again Friday in the semi-finals and hopefully our hard work ethic continues to pay off for us."
Thomas will return to the soccer pitch Friday, November 14
th at a time and location that has yet to be determined.
